Maestro Strings

A new alternative option for String Players

'Strings these days are becoming more and more expensive which makes it difficult to keep instruments in mint condition, especially if you're a student or a stereotype starving musician. Many of us don't replace our strings often enough simply because new strings are incredibly expensive. However, a cheaper alternative has been discovered that doesn't compromise on sound.

We call them Maestro Strings and the quality and sound is quite comparable to any well known brands from the US, Germany, Austria and Denmark. String players of any age or level need to become familiar with these strings, they will save you a lot of money and will give you the gift of a beautiful sound.

To give you an idea of the quality of the strings we conducted a comparison between our Maestro Strings and the very popular but expensive string in a green envelope from Germany (for legal reasons, we can't say the name). Playing on a Jay Haide violin we tested both sets of strings for dynamic range, optimal left hand feeling and response, projection, and both warm and brilliant tone qualities. We were very surprised and pleased with the similarities between the two brands. The Maestro strings create a warm rich sound and have good projection. The only change we would suggest to achieve maximum sound is to use a Lenzner Goldbrokat E string. The Maestro E creates a lovely bright tone and functions perfectly, but to achieve a more professional tone violins would benefit from the Goldbrokat E as it compliments the other three strings perfectly.

There are many similarities between the two brands of strings, but when it comes to value for money they couldn't be more different. A set of Maestro Strings will only cost $37.00 (US).
